VSOT – Barrel Finished – Tokaji Limited Edition

Celebrate the 10^th anniversary of Locksley Distilling with the third edition of our limited Tokaji Barrel Finished VSOT – a twist on our popular navy strength gin, this dynamic spirit brings together the serious heat of our VSOT with the rich flavour profiles of carefully selected wines.

We originally envisioned our VSOT as a bold base to go into a series of wine casks, each very different than the last, handed over to us once the barrel is empty. Like other barrel finished juniper spirits (think Dutch Oude Jenever / Genever), our Barrel Finished Old Tom take on a life of its own, steadily developing character and depth from the cask. The strength and sweetness of our VSOT draws out every drop hiding in the barrel walls, bringing out the tannic structure and residual flavours that the wines have left behind.

After two roaring successes, our Barrel Finished VSOT series returns, this time absorbing the delicate and bold flavours of a Hungarian Tokaji cask. A late-harvest dessert wine, this Barrel Finished VSOT has taken on golden Tokaji colours, white stone fruit notes, and a bouquet of honeysuckle, honeycomb, and jasmine.  Our Tokaji Barrel Finished VSOT is an innovative and truly unique take on gin:
